ServiceTitan alternative for water treatment dealers
Cevora or ServiceTitan, for a water dealer?
ServiceTitan is the most complete field-service platform there is, and it takes the water business seriously: it bought WaterSoftWare, a thirty-year water-industry vendor, in 2019, and since 2020 Kinetico has routed its website leads into dealers’ ServiceTitan accounts. If you run ten technicians and a call centre, you should look at it. If you run a dealership with a couple of trucks and a sales rep or two, you are paying for a dispatch board, a phone system and an onboarding project you do not need. That is who Cevora is for.
ServiceTitan pricing vs Cevora, by team size
ServiceTitan does not publish a price. What is public: three packages (Starter, Essentials, The Works), priced per technician, quoted on a demo call, with Pro products sold as upgrades.
| Cevora | ServiceTitan | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $149, $299 or $499 a month, on the pricing page; $25 per extra user; every feature on every plan | Not published. Priced per technician, quoted on a demo call; ask about the onboarding fee and the contract term |
| Start | 14 days free, no card, no sales call. Products, plans, team and territories set up in an afternoon | A demo, then an implementation project with a team, usually measured in weeks |
| Size it is built for | One to fifteen people, one or several branches | Contractors with many technicians, a dispatch board and a call centre |
| Card processing | Your own Stripe account, at Stripe’s rates | Through ServiceTitan’s payments |
Cevora prices from our pricing page; ServiceTitan’s water treatment page at servicetitan.com showed no price on 1 November 2026. Published estimates from review sites put it in the hundreds of dollars per technician per month; treat those as estimates and ask ServiceTitan.
Where the rental, the plan and the water test live
The dollar amounts are one thing. The difference a dealer feels every week is what each product does with the rental, the service plan and the water test.
| The thing you do | Cevora | ServiceTitan |
|---|---|---|
| Rent a softener for $59 a month with a buyout | A rental contract: autopay on the billing day, the buyout always current, pause without back-billing, a contract change on re-sign | Memberships and recurring services, configured by rules; the buyout and the contract change are yours to keep |
| Sell a service plan with two filter visits a year | The plan knows its visits and puts them on the Service Due board on its own; the filters follow the system | Memberships with recurring service events – ServiceTitan does this well, once it is configured |
| Record the water test on the visit | Hardness, iron, TDS and the concern on the lead, carried onto the quote and the install | Forms you build |
| Quote a purchase, a rental or a financed deal | From one catalogue, signed on the customer’s phone; a rental signature creates the contract and the autopay | Mobile sales presentations with good-better-best options; financing approval on the spot (see below) |
| Know which ad paid for itself | Cost per lead and per sale by source, because every lead carries its campaign | ServiceTitan tracks campaign revenue and ROI too – both do this |
| Text leads and customers without getting fined | Every plan. One gate on every text: STOP honoured for the number forever, DND for the reps too, quiet hours on your clock | Texting through its own phone system; the consent rules are yours to set |
| Pay reps on margin, not a flat rate | Commission tiers by discount given; statements per rep when the install is done | Performance pay by rules you configure – both do this; Cevora’s tiers follow the discount given |
| Know what you will pay next year | The price on the page, month to month, every feature on every plan | Per-technician pricing and a contract term quoted on the call |
The ServiceTitan column describes the product as its public pages and documentation presented it on 1 November 2026. Features and tiers change; check servicetitan.com for the current picture.
What the water parts look like in Cevora

When ServiceTitan is the better choice
You will hear these in a demo, so here they are first.
You have ten or more technicians
A dispatch board to fill and someone whose job is dispatching. That is what ServiceTitan is built for.
You are a Kinetico dealer
And you want kinetico.com leads landing straight in your booking screen.
You want financing approved at the kitchen table
ServiceTitan runs a consumer-financing approval from the technician’s tablet. Cevora quotes a financed deal and records it; it does not run the approval.
You want the phone system, call recording and accounting sync in one vendor
Cevora runs texting through your OpenPhone account and does not sync to QuickBooks yet.
Already on ServiceTitan?
Export your customers and equipment from ServiceTitan to a spreadsheet and send it to us. During the trial we load it – customers, installed systems, rental and plan dates – so the Service Due board is full on day one. ServiceTitan keeps running until you are sure.
Most dealers run the two side by side for a week: the same leads, the same quotes, the same jobs. By Friday the question is usually not whether Cevora handles the rental and the plan, but how much of the spreadsheet can be retired.
Questions dealers ask about ServiceTitan and Cevora
How much does ServiceTitan cost compared with Cevora? ServiceTitan does not publish a price; it is quoted per technician on a demo call, with Pro products as upgrades and an onboarding project. Cevora is $149, $299 or $499 a month on the pricing page, $25 per extra user, every feature included.
Does Cevora have a water treatment edition like ServiceTitan? Cevora is only a water treatment edition – there is no plumbing or HVAC version to switch off. Rentals, plans, the water test and the installed system’s filters are the product, not a vertical pack.
Can I move from ServiceTitan? Yes. Export customers and equipment to a spreadsheet and send it to us; we load customers, installed systems and rental and plan dates during the trial. Mind your ServiceTitan contract term.
What does ServiceTitan do better? Dispatching ten or more technicians, the phone system and call recording, financing approval at the table, the Kinetico lead feed, and accounting sync. We list them above rather than in a demo.
